It Takes Guts to Walk Across That Stage |
Miss Pequot Lakes Scholarship Pageant β Friday, April 24 |

Every spring, a group of young women from our community do something that most people wouldn't dare: they walk across a stage in front of their whole town and compete for a scholarship that could change the direction of their lives.
The Miss Pequot Lakes Scholarship Pageant returns on Friday, April 24, at the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium at 6:30 PM β and this year's scholarships are the biggest yet.
This year's awards:
β’ Miss Pequot Lakes: $5,000 β’ Pequot Lakes Princess: $2,000 β’ Miss Congeniality: $1,000
Organized and presented by Community Action Pequot Lakes, the pageant is one of the longest-running community traditions in the area. The winners don't just walk away with scholarship money β they commit to serving as ambassadors for Pequot Lakes throughout the year, showing up at community events and business celebrations as representatives of their hometown.
That's not a small thing. It's a responsibility. And the young women who compete know it.
There's something quietly powerful about this event. It's not about glitter or tiaras β it's about young people from our community standing up and saying: I'm proud of where I'm from, and I want to serve it.
Tickets are available at the door. Show up early β this one fills up fast.
