Celebrate Fall at Brainerd's 18th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival

Join the community for a day of autumn fun at Memorial Park on October 4, 2025

Brainerd's beloved Great Pumpkin Festival returns for its 18th year, promising an afternoon filled with family-friendly activities and seasonal delights.

Hosted by Brainerd Parks and Recreation, the festival is set for Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Memorial Park, located at 1700 Mill Avenue, Brainerd, MN 56401.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of games and contests, including the classic three-legged race, wheelbarrow race, pumpkin roll, and sack race. Creative spirits can participate in coloring contests, costume competitions, and the ever-popular pie-eating contest.

For those seeking more interactive fun, the festival offers a bouncy house, paint-a-pumpkin station (small fee applies), and face painting by The Painted Turtle (fee required). Don't miss the exciting Team Ascension Karate demonstrations.

Local organizations and businesses will be present, including Boys-n-Berries, Girl Scouts Lakes & Pines, Boy Scouts Troop 43, University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners, Salvation Army, American National Bank, Super One, Community Action, and Brainerd Lakes Area Women of Today. Concessions will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting community initiatives.

Recent enhancements to Memorial Park, including new hockey rinks that double as pickleball courts in the summer, a four-season warming house, and a playground, provide an updated backdrop for this year's festivities.

Attendees are reminded that smoking or tobacco use is prohibited within 100 feet of event activities. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed, and owners are expected to clean up after their pets; Mutt-Mitts are available near the pavilion and restrooms.

This public event is free to attend, though some activities and concessions may require a fee.

For more information, contact Brainerd Parks and Recreation at 218-828-2320.

Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the season with neighbors and friends at the Great Pumpkin Festival!
